What's our project all about? Our Genius Hour project is to see which of the two of us can get in the best shape before the soccer season begins. Many athletes understand that during the off season we tend to not practice as much of our chosen sport as we should, which makes the first few practices of the new season miserable and very difficult. We want to change that by being prepared this season. We will achieve this goal by focusing on a specific skill set each week. For example, one week may be focused specifically on target shooting or foot work. After each week, we will hold a mini-challenge based on the focus of that week. Whoever wins the mini-challenge will receive a point. We will have updates about points and mini-challenges in the blog posts weekly and we will include weekly videos to reveal the winner of that challenge. Whoever has the most points at the end of the 12 week period wins the title of "Fittest on the Field". Our hope, win or lose, is to make progress in our skills as soccer players and to be ready when this season begins. See you on the field! What will be our focus this week? This week we will focus on the planning aspect of the project. We will get together a schedule of the skills we will be focusing on and plan what we are doing each week. We will also be setting up our YouTube channel where we will be posting the weekly challenges we have! Here is the Plan
